Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated 29 July 2026
The short version: you can leave, you just cannot get back time we have already coached you through. Everything below is the detail behind that.
1. The rules at a glance
| Service | Minimum term | Notice to cancel | Refund on served periods |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Forge | 3 months | 30 days, in writing | No |
| The Protocols | None | 30 days, in writing | No |
| The Crucible | As per your written scope | As per your written scope | As per your written scope |
2. How to cancel
Email dan@ironbergperformance.com with the word “cancel” and the name of your plan. We will confirm in writing within 2 business days, including the date of your final payment and the date your access ends.
Cancelling through the CoachRx app, a payment provider, or by stopping a card is not a cancellation notice to us. Please email so we have a record and can confirm the dates with you.
3. The Forge
The Forge starts with a three-month commitment, charged monthly. That period exists because it is the shortest honest window in which we can establish a baseline, run a full training block and re-test the result. Committing to less than that means paying for a process we cannot complete.
After the initial three months, the plan rolls month to month. Give 30 days written notice at any point and your next scheduled payment is your last. You keep full coaching access through the period you have paid for.
If you cancel during the initial three months, the remaining months of that commitment still fall due. We will not extend the term or add charges beyond it.
4. The Protocols
No minimum term. Give 30 days written notice at any point and your next scheduled payment is your last. Your first week is a free, coach-reviewed baseline week, which exists specifically so you can assess the service before paying anything.
5. The Crucible
The Crucible is scoped and priced individually and involves third-party costs that we commit to on your behalf, including pathology and practitioner time. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in the written scope you agree before the program starts, and before any payment is taken. If you have not received that scope in writing, do not pay.
6. Upfront and prepaid blocks
Upfront payments, such as 24 weeks of The Forge for $3,600 or 12 weeks of The Protocols for $699, buy a fixed block at a discounted rate. They are treated as a single prepaid term.
- Prepaid blocks are not refundable for change of mind once coaching has started.
- If we are unable to continue delivering the service, we will refund the unused portion, calculated at the discounted weekly rate you paid.
- At the end of a prepaid block, nothing renews automatically unless you ask us to set that up.
7. Periods already served
We do not refund periods that have already been coached. Coaching is delivered continuously: programming is written, data is reviewed, adjustments are made and access is available every day of the period, whether or not you used it.
Not training during a period you paid for is not grounds for a refund. If life gets in the way, talk to us before the billing date and we will look at pausing rather than you paying for time you cannot use.
8. Pausing
Illness, injury, travel, a new baby or a brutal work stretch are all normal. We would rather pause you than lose you.
- Pauses are available in blocks of up to 8 weeks, by agreement, and are not charged.
- Request a pause in writing before your next billing date. We cannot backdate a pause over a period already billed and delivered.
- A pause during the initial three-month Forge commitment extends the commitment by the length of the pause rather than cancelling it.
9. If we cancel
We may end a coaching relationship at our discretion, for example where the program is not a suitable or safe fit, where relevant health information has not been disclosed, or where conduct toward us is abusive.
If we cancel for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused portion of any period you have paid for, on a pro-rata basis, within 14 days.
10. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
If a service is not provided with due care and skill, is not fit for the purpose we agreed, or does not match what we described, you are entitled to a remedy. For a major failure you can cancel and seek a refund, or seek compensation for any drop in value. For a minor failure we are entitled to fix the problem first.
A change of mind, or a result you hoped for that did not eventuate despite the service being delivered properly, is not a major failure.

11. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first. We will investigate and, where we have made an error, refund it promptly. Raising a chargeback without contacting us costs both sides time and money for something usually solvable in a single email.
